Couples Therapy & Relationship Healing

Relationships carry memory, attachment, and lived experience

At Kayari, couples therapy is a space to slow down, listen deeply, and understand what unfolds beneath conflict.

We support couples in breaking repetitive conflict cycles, improving communication, and cultivating emotional safety. Our work focuses on what happens in the moment between partners—how the nervous system, attachment patterns, and lived histories shape connection and disconnection.

We work primarily with the Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy (PACT), a neuroscience-informed and attachment-based model that helps partners recognize and respond to each other with greater awareness and care.

Sessions are active, relational, and experiential. Partners learn to track their own nervous systems, read each other’s cues, and build secure-functioning habits that support trust, intimacy, and mutual responsibility.

Rather than assigning blame, PACT allows couples to understand how early attachment experiences influence reactions, expectations, and emotional regulation in the present.

Couples seek therapy at Kayari for many reasons, including:

  • Recurrent conflict and communication breakdowns

  • Emotional distance or loss of intimacy

  • Attachment wounds and relational trauma

  • Life transitions, stress, or cultural differences

  • Rebuilding trust and strengthening emotional bonds

Bilingual & Bicultural Care

Kayari offers bilingual (English–Spanish) and bicultural couples therapy, with particular sensitivity to cross-cultural relationships. We honor the ways culture, migration, language, and family history shape relational dynamics, creating a space where both partners feel seen and understood.

A Path Toward Secure Connection

Couples therapy at Kayari is not about fixing what is broken—it is about transforming conflict into connection. Through presence, embodied awareness, and relational clarity, partners are supported in building a secure, loving foundation rooted in respect, honesty, and shared growth.
